Have you ever just placed your head on your pillow, gotten nice and comfortable and slowly started to fall asleep when suddenly DING – an email notification from your boss, and 10 minutes later again DING your friend tagging you in a meme?
We’ve all experienced our phones bombarding us with notifications when we’re busy working or trying to get some sleep. Luckily, there’s a very simple setting on your iBaby that can help you get that much-needed zen-time. This setting is called ‘Do Not Disturb Mode’. According to Apple with Do Not Disturb, you can silence calls, alerts and notifications that you get while your device is locked. You can also schedule Do Not Disturb and allow calls from certain people.
MacWorld states that Do Not Disturb can be activated from the Control Centre by swiping upwards from the bottom of the screen and tap on the crescent moon icon. That icon will then appear in the top bar of your iPhone screen. When the Do Not Disturb function is activated, incoming calls and alerts will be silenced.
You can also schedule the Do Not Disturb setting to set ‘quiet hours’ every day or night. For example from 10 PM to 7 AM.
Now you can go to bed calmly knowing that you won’t be disturbed by a million notifications. Namaste!
