To recover and safeguard your data on your iPhone, you can use the ‘Find My iPhone’ too.
This is what you need to do:
- Sign in to icloud.com/find on a Mac or PC. Or you can use the ‘Find My iPhone’ app on another iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
- Open ‘Find My iPhone’ and select your device to view its location on a map. If your iPhone is nearby, you can have it play a sound to help you locate it.
- Turn on Lost Mode. This will allow you to remotely lock your device with a four-digit pass code and to display a custom message with your phone number on your missing device’s lock screen and to keep track of your device’s location. Another benefit; if you added credit or debit cards to Apple Pay, your account will be suspended when you put your device in Lost Mode.
