What to do if you find an abandoned iBaby?

Finding a lost iPhone can be a weird experience. It sparks questions such as “Where is your owner little guy?” and “How did you end up on the cold floor?” Your next thought would hopefully be to look at the lock screen and see if there is something you can recognise or identify to return the iPhone to its parent. Often this may be unsuccessful, but do not fear, there are a couple more things you can do to return the iBaby to its iParent! 🙂

What? No password? That’s lucky!

As unlikely as it is, the person may not even have enabled a password on their iPhone. All you will need to do is unlock the device and go into their recent call history or contacts list. Hopefully you will be able to find a name there which looks as if it has some significance.

Just try asking the iPhone

More often than not, mobile devices have a passcode. In this case, the easiest thing to do is to use the voice assistant (such as Siri). Ask the voice assistant to “call mom”, “call dad” or “call my boyfriend (girlfriend, husband, etc.)”. If the person has set up relationships on the device or named a contact by their relationship with that person, you should be able to get a hold of someone who can then either fetch the device themselves or contact the person some other way, through social media for example.

Oh no nothing is working!

If all else fails, take it to the service provider’s outlet. You should be able to identify which service provider is being used by looking at one of the top corners of the screen.

Now let’s get out there and get those iBabies back to their worried iParents.
