We’ve all been there, playing an amazing song with the best part coming up and we grab our phones to turn up the volume for the good part, just to realise that it’s already at its maximum volume. No matter how many times you push that volume up button, when it’s at the highest point, that is where it will stop. So, what if there was a way to give it that little bit extra you’ve been searching for? Well, there actually is a way to do that.

It’s pretty simple; some people have never heard about it, but there are probably some tech experts who know it and have forgotten how to do it. Well, all it is, is changing the EQ settings in your phone, which makes your music play louder. In order to do this, you need to go to your Settings app, scroll down to “Music” and then find the “EQ” option. In the EQ option, you will see a number of different settings available. You will need to select “Late Night”. Yes, it’s that simple. If you want to hear the difference that this makes, you can turn it on while you are playing music.

The great thing with this setting is that it doesn’t only work for the Apple Music app, but for other apps such as Spotify and Deezer. The only problem is that it will distort the sound a bit. So, while you are getting louder music, the quality might not sound so good. At least you can hear it over a larger range of loud noises if you need to. If you don’t mind the distortion, this is your best option. If you do mind, you may want to consider getting yourself an external speaker to connect, which you can find at any tech company such as Cellucity.
